While traipsing the globe to promote 4, Beyoncé stopped by New York City's Harlem Target on Thursday to say hello to some of her young fans.

As the store celebrated its one-year anniversary, kids from the local Boys and Girls Club danced their hearts out onstage to Beyoncé's new track "Countdown." In the middle of the song, B took the stage and gave them a big group hug before letting them continue their routine.

"I'd like to thank the Boys and Girls Club for coming out. I hope y'all had fun learning the choreography to 'Countdown' today," she told the crowd, in footage posted on Rap-up.com. "I hope you guys enjoy the new album 4."

Beyoncé had a little bit of a commercial reason to show up at the Target store: The deluxe version of 4, which is set to debut at #1 on the Billboard albums chart, is available exclusively at the retail giant. But since the disc's release on Tuesday, fans have complained that some Targets didn't stock enough copies, and the promised exclusive video can't be accessed yet.

"Honestly, day one sales were fantastic for us, especially on the deluxe edition," John Butcher, Target's vice president of entertainment, told The Hollywood Reporter, assuring fans that Sony was delivering more CDs soon.

As for the promised exclusive director's cut of B's "Run the World (Girls)" video, Butcher explained that the clip wasn't quite ready for public consumption, but it should be ready shortly. "Beyoncé's team is still finalizing aspects of the content, and they just didn't want [it] to be released until it was perfect," he said. "We could have forced something through that wasn't right — it was our prerogative to do so — but we didn't want to do it. We certainly don't want to disappoint our guests. We believe they'd rather have the right content and wait a couple days than get something that wasn't going to be very special."

Selena Gomez, Cory Monteith Cop To 'Monte Carlo' Sing-Offs

'I feel like we were very annoying to people on set,' co-star Leighton Meester tells MTV News.

Selena Gomez's When the Sun Goes Down was released on Tuesday, but the star isn't just celebrating a new album this week. She heads back to the big screen with a leading-lady role in "Monte Carlo."

In the movie opening this weekend, Gomez plays not one, but two characters: an American teenager, Grace, and British heiress Cordelia, which required the Disney actress to take on an English accent.

"I did about two weeks [of training] before the film," Gomez told MTV News of learning the accent. "It was really fun [but] I was really nervous."

And the fun didn't stop there. Gomez also bonded on the set with her "Monte Carlo" co-stars, including "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester, who plays Gomez's stepsister; Katie Cassidy; and "Glee" heartthrob Cory Monteith, who had the tough job of working alongside some of Hollywood's most beautiful ladies.

"Going to hang out with a bunch of hot chicks in Europe? Sign me up!" Moneith laughed when we asked what attracted him to the role. "It was a no-brainer. They approached me to do a movie, and I heard Selena Gomez wanted to do it and shoot in Europe."

The cast spent two months filming overseas, primarily in Monte Carlo and Paris, and they had as much fun onscreen as they did off.

"We sang a lot," Gomez said of her castmates.

"I feel like we were very annoying to people on set," Meester added.

Of course, considering Monteith, Meester and Gomez are all singers, it's hard to believe anyone found them "annoying." So what was their song of choice?

"[We sang] to actual songs that were out," Gomez said. "But we would create our own lyrics; it was really fun."

"There was a little jumping and jiving," Monteith admitted. "We were so taken away by the moment, shooting in Paris, shooting the Eiffel Tower," he speculated about what may have inspired all that singing. "It was incredible."

Check out all of the stars in action when "Monte Carlo" hits theaters on Friday.

Janet Jackson Thrills Fans With Greatest Hits, Michael Tribute At Radio City

Singer covered songs ranging from classic 'Pleasure Principle' to 2008's 'Feedback' at New York show.

NEW YORK — Often imitated, never duplicated, Janet Jackson's outbursts of meticulous choreography, sassy exclamations and smoldering gazes into the audience kept them on their feet for the entire two-hour set of her greatest hits at Radio City Music Hall. Monday night marked the last of three sold-out shows at the historic venue on her monumental Number Ones: Up Close and Personal Tour.

Up-and-coming boy band Mindless Behavior opened the show with songs including "#1 Girl," "Future" and their debut single, "My Girl." With their Usher-esque dance moves and shouts like "Where the ladies at?" the boys brought the tween girls out of hiding, judging by the shrill screams escaping various corner of the music hall.

At 9:00 sharp, the lights went down and Janet's fans were on the edge of their seats, watching music videos for "The Best Things in Life Are Free" and "Rhythm Nation" projected on big screens across the venue. A small shadow drifted toward center stage, and when the colorful lights came up, Jackson, wrapped in a shoulder-padded catsuit, complete with slick short hair, blasted into "The Pleasure Principle," dancing as hard and intensely choreographed as she did when the song first came out in the 1980s.

With barely a spare second between songs, Janet dazzled her way through her biggest hits, including "Miss You Much," "All for You" and "Nasty," and more recent hits like 2008's "Feedback."

Videos displayed during Jackson's costume changes included vintage clips from "Diff'rent Strokes," a funny scene from "Poetic Justice" where Jackson slyly rejects the advances of Tupac Shakur's character, and a rather heavy scene, as Jackson's character in "Why Did I Get Married" destroys her husband's house with a golf club, screaming hysterically.

Considering the tough couple of years the Jackson family has faced, the dark moments in the video seemed fitting, and everyone was beside themselves with bittersweet joy when Michael Jackson's face popped up on the big screen and she performed their hit single "Scream."

Janet emerged for her encore in a tight white one-piece disco suit, and performed "Diamonds," "Make Me" and "Together Again," which appeared to be the biggest hit of the evening. As Jackson graciously bowed out, her straight face transitioned into a smirk, suggesting that despite the hard times she has experienced recently, we can expect to see this singing and dancing pop legend shine far into the future.

"Its amazing!" Janet fan Elena Mercantini gleamed afterward. "It's like she's still 20 years old!"

"She's hot, she's amazing and she's still got it after all these years" added Alison Klinger of Long Island. "Best concert I've ever been to!"

'Cars 2' Parks At #1 For Weekend Box-Office Debut

'Bad Teacher,' starring Cameron Diaz, makes a strong showing at #2, with 'Green Lantern' following behind at #3.

"Cars 2" may be the worst-reviewed movie in Pixar's storied history, but that didn't stop the animated sequel from maintaining the studio's streak of box-office number ones. The second entry in the merchandise-friendly franchise took in $68 million over the weekend, according to distributor Walt Disney Studios, making it Pixar's 12th consecutive movie to debut atop the box-office charts.

Thanks to higher ticket prices and expensive 3-D screenings, "Cars 2" enjoyed the fifth-biggest opening for a Pixar film ever. In terms of attendance, however, the "Cars 2" debut was ahead of only "A Bug's Life," "Ratatouille" and the beloved company's first feature film, 1995's "Toy Story."

The 3-D fatigue evidenced by other recent openings continued as a mere 40 percent of moviegoers chose to see "Cars 2" in that format (versus the 60 percent who opted to see "Toy Story 3" in 3-D).

"Bad Teacher," the weekend's other new wide release, debuted at #2 with $31 million. It was a strong showing for the reportedly low-budget Cameron Diaz vehicle, which industry watchers had predicted would be less well-received. Debuting the adult-oriented comedy against the family-oriented "Cars 2" was apparently a wise choice on the part of Sony Pictures, which released the film.

Warner Bros., meanwhile, watched "Green Lantern" drop 66 percent in its second weekend of release. A sequel was already in development before Ryan Reynolds hit the screen as the DC Comics hero, but there has been little news about those plans since its lukewarm debut. "Lantern" made $18.4 million over the weekend for an $89.3 million total. With an estimated production budget of $200 million and a major marketing campaign behind it, "Green Lantern" has not done well.

"Super 8" bears the distinction of being the only well-reviewed film in the top five. JJ Abrams' nostalgic homage to '80s coming-of-age classics took in $12.1 million for a $95.2 million total. Coming in at #5, Jim Carrey's "Mr. Popper's Penguins" dropped 44 percent with $10.3 million for a $39.4 million two-week total.

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" seems a safe bet for the top spot next weekend.

Justin Bieber's Grammy Performance Will Be 'A Crossover,' Usher Says

The 'O.M.G.' singer looks forward to sharing the stage with his protégé on Sunday night.

HOLLYWOOD — At Sunday's 53rd Grammy Awards, Usher will be pulling double duty as both a nominee and a performer. Of course, given the massive year he just completed — with the success of his smash single "O.M.G." and as a mentor to rising phenom Justin Bieber — Ush's Grammy plans seem rather fitting.

Especially since he'll be performing with Bieber (and Bieber's pal Jaden Smith), a move that's just as much about celebrating Usher's successes as it is the successes of his young protégé.

"Having been through [the Grammys] so many times, you couldn't want for anything more than for your young protégé to have the opportunity to have one, so, in support of him having his moment, I wanted to be here," Usher told MTV News on Thursday, hours before his performance at the (Belvedere) RED launch party in Hollywood. "And also to be there to perform, to kind of tell the story of how we came together. This music business has definitely been good to both of us, and this year we have a lot to be happy for."

And just how will the dynamic duo tell that story? Well, Usher wasn't about to reveal all the details, but he did say that he's hoping their performance will show another side of Bieber ... a side most tend to overlook.

"The performance will be fun," Usher explained. "We want to get up there and just do what we do. Be comfortable, and have a great time. ... This is kind of a crossover for Justin. Having performed on so many different stages, this is the way that I wanted him to be seen and an opportunity to show the industry — a lot of the industry, that didn't believe [in him] — some of his other talents. He's going to play acoustically, and also, we'll get down a little bit."

And though Ush is up for a pair of Grammy awards on Sunday — Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Contemporary R&B Album for Raymond v. Raymond — he's most looking forward to sharing the stage with Bieber and giving fans a look at where the young artist will be heading next.

"I'm very proud, man. I definitely saw it from the beginning, but thanks to the team that we have around us, it was made to happen. And that story has only just begun," Usher said. "The story of Justin Bieber doesn't stop with screaming girls; we need screaming fans all around the world ... a cultural experience that's much more than just fanfare. And that's what this is. That's what the Grammys will be; that's what my next phase for Justin is. This is the way I found him: I found him with a guitar in his hand, so I want him to be seen that way."

Don't miss "Snooki & Sway: Live From the Grammys," a red-carpet live stream kicking off Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.com. And stick with us all Grammy night for coverage of the red carpet, the show, the afterparties and beyond!
